R. Malcolm Gilroy is a seasoned financial executive and risk management consultant with over 40 years of experience in global banking, investment management, and capital markets. Based in Toronto, Ontario, Malcolm has held senior leadership roles across major financial institutions, excelling in asset management, risk governance, and capital market development.

As the Non-Executive Chair of the Investment Committee at Logan Wealth Management, Malcolm oversees the development of investment policies, compliance, and portfolio management. Under his leadership, the firm experienced significant growth, expanding by 300% and doubling key partner revenues. He also founded Malcom Gilroy—Capital Markets & Risk Management Consultancy, where he advises governments and supranational organizations, including the World Bank, on developing capital markets and financial regulations. His notable achievements include creating Nigeria’s first mortgage guarantee company and aligning bond markets across East African nations.

Previously, Malcolm was Deputy Managing Director and CEO of UBA Capital (a subsidiary of United Bank for Africa), where he expanded the company into a pan-African bank with international subsidiaries in London, New York, and Paris. He played a pivotal role in building Nigeria’s leading fixed-income sales and trading team, establishing UBA Capital as a major player in the African financial markets.

Malcolm also serves as Acting Chair of DLM Capital Group in Lagos, where he oversees enterprise risk management and strategic investments. He holds board positions at Amaya Capital Limited** and The Jane Goodall Institute and was previously the President of Lupus Canada. His leadership in these roles demonstrates his commitment to advancing both financial and social causes.

With extensive knowledge of global fixed-income markets, derivative instruments, and treasury operations, Malcolm has successfully advised governments and financial institutions on market structures and governance.
